Each year over 550 people from around the county gather to train and network in the areas of Organized Crime. This training is meant to be how to that attendee will learn and be able to bring back lessons to the field. Topics have included; Use of Social Media, Open Source Investigations, Prosecutor Panel’s, Ex-Offender Panels, Interviewing Techniques, The Link Between Organized Crime and Terrorist Groups; ORC 101 and Advance ORC, Credit Card and Bank Fraud, Ruse Burglary Groups, Cyber Crimes, E-Commerce, Intellectual Property Crimes, Cargo Theft and many other. Trainers have come from the Cook County prosecutor’s office, FBI, US Department of Homeland Security, DEA, US Secret Service, Illinois State Police, Chicago Police Department, Walgreens, Wal-Mart, E-Bay, Discover, Citibank and others. There are over twenty topics and speakers included in each two day conference.
